Sierra Lutheran High School
Falcon Athletics
We train and support our student athletes to reach their personal best.
Grounded in faith and character
Athletics teaches our students discipline, humility, and teamwork. We are proud of every Falcon who competes, for what they achieve and for who they become.
The habits an athlete builds in practice, showing up early, giving full effort, and supporting a teammate, are the same habits that make a good student and a good person.
We bring in coaches who exemplify the fruit of the Spirit. They model what they ask of their athletes and challenge them to have self control, give their all, and never doubt their abilities.
They are students first
The report card matters more than the record. We hold our athletes to a classroom standard because the game ends and an education lasts. We are proud that our students often earn academic state championships.
“Be more concerned with your character than your reputation, because your character is what you really are, while your reputation is merely what others think you are.”
— Coach John Wooden
We make room
You never know who has the heart of a champion until you let them try.
In many schools, teams are crowded and kids get overlooked. Potential is easy to miss, so we give students the chance to train, to learn, and to play. An athlete with a champion’s heart rarely shows it early. They show it once someone believes in them enough to develop it. At Sierra Lutheran, that chance is open to every student willing to work for it.
Our sports
Across fall, winter, and spring, Sierra Lutheran fields eleven programs for boys and girls, from first-time athletes to seasoned competitors.
