On Friday, October 23, the Sierra Lutheran Cross Country team hosted the Dave Marson Trail Race on our home course at Sierra Lutheran High School. It’s one of the more difficult courses around, but also one of the most rewarding. After rain two days earlier, we made a few last-minute adjustments to the course, and eleven teams from schools across the state came out to run.
Isis Riley ran for the Falcons in the first race at 3:30 pm and crossed the finish line in 6th place with a time of 30:15. In the second race at 4:15 pm, Eli Woelfel finished 9th in 22:00, Jason Wlaschin finished 12th in 22:12, and Camden McSweeney finished 15th in 22:51.

“This was the last race of our regular season. I am excited to see our runners at the Regional meet, and I know they can make it to the State meet. At this point, we need to stay focused on running our race and keeping our eyes on God,” says Coach Williams.
Next up is the Northern Regional Cross Country Meet on Friday, October 30, at Rancho San Rafael Park in Reno. The boys Division 2A race begins at 10:00 am, and the girls Division 2A race begins at 12:35 pm. Come cheer on our runners as they race to qualify for the State meet on Saturday, November 7, at Veterans Memorial Park in Boulder City.
