North Valley High School hosted the CHASE Race on Thursday, October 15th in Golden Valley. The race is unusual in that runners do not all start at the same time. There are 8 waves with the fastest runners starting in the last wave. Runners attempt to chase down the previous wave(s) of runners.
The boys race was the first race of the day. Finishing times for the Falcons are as follows: Eli Woelfel 19:56; Camden McSweeney 22:20 for a Season Best; and Jason Wlaschin 22:51.
The girls race saw Isis Riley run a 24:55 for a Personal Best.
“The CHASE Race is exciting and thrilling to watch. It is fun as a coach to watch the runners put together all they have been learning over the season,” said Coach Williams “Our final pre-season race will be the Dave Marson Trail Race at Sierra Lutheran.”
Come watch the Falcons on Friday, October 23rd at Sierra Lutheran High School. The first race will be the girls at 3:30 pm. The boys race at 4:15 pm. Go Falcons!
